Try Olympic Weightlifting Day for Women - July 4th 2011

On Saturday 4th July, Sutton & Epsom Weightlifting Club will host its first 'Try Olympic Weightlifting Day' open to any athletically minded woman living in the South London/Surrey area. The event will take place at Sutton Arena in Sutton, Surrey and will be free of charge aside from the £3.95 entry fee to the facility.

The objective of the day will be to give the ladies attending the opportunity to try the sport and receive basic coaching in the skills. There will be a small theoretical element but most of the day will be practical. All attendees will also take part in basic testing to assess aptitude and each will be given an honest appraisal as to their potential in the sport.

It is also an opportunity to train with and receive input from a number of the clubs leading athletes including Sunny Brar (63kg Arnold Classic Champion) and Eve Stevenson (English Champion at 69kg).
